In golf you start to the practice green to work on putting. But after just a little bit of carry out, your back starts to hurt. After a slight more, your neck is getting sore. The entire bending over takes its toll and the aches and pains of a practice putting session can dissuade some golfers from putting in extra time on their putting. Just similar to with the long game, it is important to warm up before working on your putting and there are even some simple stretches or activities you can do during your putting session.
These activities and warm up can help your body handle the strains and you can play better than before. By exercising your body becomes active and you are able to hit a better shot. So it is necessary for every golf player to do exercise and warm up before playing or starting any golf game.

That answer is larley up to you, since keeping track of those things is a
personal matter to help you see where you need improving. Personally, I
count a putt as anytime I use a putter. This lets me determine if I need
more work on my putting itself or chipping. As far as the PGATour is
concerned though, when they track putts per round, only strokes made with a
putter and from the putting surface count. Meaning putting from the fringe
does NOT count as a putt.Hope this helps, and good luck!!
